Can you live without kidneys? - how to live without one kidney
A friend of mine suffers from cystic fibrosis and is in a wheelchair. Just today I had removed the rest of his recent kidney. It has not and will undergo dialysis. I have no idea what all these options? Please help.
How long a person can live on dialysis for? What is the daily care concern? Ysomeone can live on dialysis?
Thanks for the help.
Dialysis can keep a person live without kidneys for an indefinite period, but not necessarily a normal life expectancy. A kidney transplant is preferable, if possible. The role of the kidneys is vital. Dialysis has a lot of blood filtration important to the kidneys, but not so good and so complete. The relevance of the graft in cases of cystic fibrosis depends on the prognosis of the disease as a whole and the general condition. Unfortunately, the CF tends to significantly reduce life expectancy, with most patients do not survive on its fourth decade.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry for your friend, but you can not live without kidneys. Dialysis is basically an alternative to the kidneys. It is the job of the kidneys. She cuts a little deeper, but if you should miss, after a proper diet and do appointments as well. However, without dialysis, it is impossible to live without their two kidneys.
ReplyDeleteYes, you can live a normal life on dialysis, is always careful not to waste treatment and prevent infection. Hemodialysis usually requires 3 sessions per week for 3 or 4 one hours treatment. Deletes the blood of toxins, then he / she is waiting for a successful kidney transplant.
